Return the bandRETURN Return was formed in Norway in 1980, but started up as Jom Jom and the Canniballs. In 1985 the name changed to Return, and the band won a nationwide competition for rock bands, arranged by Norwegian National Radio. In 1987 the track Sing Me A Song was released as the first single from the debut album, and became a overnight hit. The single stayed in the official Norwegian radio chart for 56 consecutive weeks. The debut album To The Top was released the same year and sold more than 30 000 units. They then moved on to CBS, and the album Attitudes produced by the Swedes Per Blom and Thomas Witt sold more than 100 000 units, thanks to songs like Bye, Bye Johnny and Change The Attitude. Between 1987 and 1992 Return released five albums, and sold over 600 000 albums. In the year 2000 the band had a reunion, and released Return Best Of that sold 65, 000 copies. Followed by a big tour, Return proved again that a caserol of rock and roll with melodies spiced up with power-ballades still attracts attention. In 2005 they released a new album, and in 2008 a Best of... album and a accustic Live DVD that sold gold.Visit the official website www.return.no |
